FRANK HODSON SADDLEWORTH 6

First of all, I would like to thank all those runners who braved the elements to run in the Frank Hodson Saddleworth 6 on Wednesday last.
I would also like to thank the Tame Valley Tennis and Squash Club for making their club available for use as the Race HQ this year.
As you all know, the race route was largely new – and certainly untried and untested – and I acknowledge that there were problems, some of which were brought about by the appalling weather!
We do not yet know what the situation will be next year with regard to the availability or otherwise of the Satellite Centre and the Churchill Playing Fields, used for very many years as Race HQ and for the Start and Finish.
However, to assist Oldham & Royton Harriers to come to a view on the available options, it would be very helpful to receive feedback – good, bad or indifferent – from those runners who participated in the event.
In this respect, will anyone with any views on how the race was for them this year, on the course itself, the Race HQ or on any other aspect of the event, please let me know at info@saddleworth6.org.uk
On another note, I have been asked whether anyone took any photographs of this year’s race. Again, if there are photos out there and you are happy to make them public (!!) please send them to me.
